What was the message last Sunday? How did you apply the message this week? What songs did the choir sing? What has the Lord said to you recently? Most can’t remember!
The church staff spends hours preparing for the Sunday worship. Every message has an application. How much application is taking place? If we are to get any more value out of the worship experience, other than a good feeling; then we need to listen more. Listening is an Active skill not Passive. Many times we are called to be the Lord’s listening ear. We miss these opportunities to witness and serve the Lord because we do not listen. Listening is the most used, least taught, communication skill.
Listening to/for the Lord is a 3-½ hour workshop designed to help us develop and sharpen our Listening skills.
